Putting God first can seem overwhelming, until we realize that he provides and takes care of us.
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. -Matthew 6:31-33
Seeking God does not have to mean sitting down with your Bible and praying for hours. We should start our days with a devoted time and focus on him. But he’s not a checklist. ‘Ok, done with that time to move on to the rest of my life.’ No he is our life. He is with us always and should be part of all of our day.
When Paul said pray without ceasing he meant we should be talking to God throughout our day. Seeking him when we face trouble and praising him when he have joy. Jesus came so we could have relationship with Father God and Holy Spirit. So that we can have God with all of us all of the time. Don’t squander what Jesus paid for. Cherish your relationship with God and seek him in all things throughout your day.
Put God first and see how your day exceeds your expectations.
