I’m different then I used to be. Growing up I was shy and insecure, but knowing God changed that.
Knowing him and what he has done in my life gives me confidence, boldness and fearlessness, because I know who he is. He is love, joy, peace, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and he has self control. And he’s with me all the time. Who wouldn’t want to be around someone like that.
No matter where I go, he is with me. I’m never alone because he is with me, comforting me, inspiring me, teaching me, guiding me, protecting me, he is always with me. He is where I draw my confidence from. Not from my own abilities but from his. If he asks me to do something he will provide for it to be accomplished, he will give me the words or the opportunity to show others who he is. He is the one who speaks or works through us. We are simple the willing vessel for him to pour through.
That’s why he makes us a new creation. I am not the person I used to be. He washed away all my mistakes when I accepted his sacrifice and he made me new. He does the same for us all when we give our lives to him.
He loves each and everyone of us. And he wants to show us who he is, who he made each of us to be, and how he can shine through us to others.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here! –2 Corinthians 5:17
